Boylesque brings to the stage strength, humor, and sensuality, giving traditional masculinity an unexpected and playful twist. Get ready for a bold, confident, and witty show where elegance, charisma, and revealing charm intertwine into a humorous, cheeky, and unforgettable experience!
WHAT IS NERDLESQUE?
Nerdlesque is a modern branch of burlesque that combines a love of pop culture with bold self-expression. This art form brings iconic characters from movies, video games, comics, and other media to the stage, infusing them with the sensuality, humor, and playful theatricality characteristic of burlesque. Jo Jo Stiletto describes nerdlesque as “a chance for every pop culture fan to unleash their inner nerd” – feather boas are swapped for lightsabers, and fandoms become a creative outlet.
WHAT IS BOYLESQUE?
Boylesque is a form of stage art that blends elements of traditional burlesque, neo-burlesque, and performance art, but from a masculine perspective.
Boylesque challenges traditional notions of masculinity, presenting new and diverse portrayals of male identity on stage. Performances can be glamorous or ironic, combining dance, humor, and visual theatricality.
